Vermont Achievement Center’s Preschool and Enrichment Program
at Sherburne Elementary School

Since 2004, Vermont Achievement Center has partnered with Sherburne Elementary School to provide preschool and after school programming for school aged children located directly at the school. Our program brings together a mix of young children in an enriched, developmentally appropriate learning environment and is nationally accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

Our goal is to promote independence, self-esteem and growth in the areas of motor skills and language development, play skills, social competency and school readiness.

Our Preschool program is open Monday through Friday with hours of operation from 8:00 - 4:00. Children must be at least three years of age upon enrollment. Children have the option of enrolling on a part-time or full-time basis. The program is in operation when school is in session and is closed for holiday, school vacations, snow days, and teacher in-service days.

We also provide school age children that attend the school an Enrichment Program after school hours from 3:00-4:00 pm.

If you are interested in enrolling your child, please contact Sarah Bolster at 775-2395 x 203 or make an appointment with the classroom at 802.422.3366 x 230 for a tour of our program.

VAC currently Collaborates with three area schools to provide programming for school age and preschool aged children directly at schools. Our Enrichment and Preschool programs are located at Sherburne Elementary School in Killington, Poultney Elementary School, and Castleton Elementary School. Each of our programs has begun from the community need for children to have safe and healthy options for children out-of-school-hours and the need for children to be ready for school. For more information about Vermont Achievement Center, please visit their website www.vacvt.og.
